Some Favorite Books & Poems of Mine

     I used to love reading. Let me rephrase that: I still love reading; but unfortunately, family life takes up a lot of my time, so I don't get to read as much.  Some books are wonderful to read again and again for new insight and enjoying the story, or book of essays, once again.  Here's some books I loved to read in the past, and I cherish these books.  They bring back wonderful memories of a beloved personal history.  Some of these books I read as a teen in high school, or in college as a late adolescent, and these books truly enlightened me.  The books shaped my view of the world and my place in it. 

     I loved to write poetry as-well, although (to be honest) it's been a while.  I was a prolific poet in my late twenties and early thirties.  I wrote so many poems that I collected them all and published them in two chapbooks.  I also wrote an erotica novella called "Our Last Weekend" about a single girl's New Year's weekend exploits.  The book was loads of fun to write, btw.  These are the books I wrote that can be purchased online at Barnes & Nobles, Amazon, and Books-A-Million. 

     I'd like to end my blog post with two videos of a few of my poems that I'd like to share.  I really have to get back to reading, writing, and blogging, y'all.  And make an effort to make the time, because I really enjoy doing these activities.  So good for the soul!

I was told to read a biblical quote from someone who has very good authority on the subject matter. She lead me to my bible, and I am so grateful to her for telling me about this particular quote, which speaks to my heart: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
