Poppy, you look worn out, tired
And have gotten skinny
The muscle tone to your upper arms is softening
And your beer belly gut under your T-shirt
Is flattening
Your brown fuzzy hair is now kinky and white
And you look at me like you know
I'm 37 years old
And that I don't get too dressed up anymore
And you don't want to go too far:
Because your knee hurts,
You get irritated easily,
And you don't want to drive around on a bad knee
Just want to sit in the backyard with your grandbabies
Or watch cartoons with Jason on your lap
And don't mind listening to mommy complain
About various things
